Brief Biography
Mr. Khalid Al-Hamoud has served as a Member of the Board of the Capital Market Authority since 2017. Throughout his career at the Authority, he has held several prominent positions, most notably: Deputy Governor for Strategic and International Affairs, Director of the Investment Funds Department, and Senior Corporate Finance Officer. Prior to joining the Capital Market Authority, he served as a training faculty member in finance and investment at the Banking Institute of the Saudi Central Bank.
He currently holds a number of board memberships, including Member of the Board of Directors of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority and Chairman of its Nominations and Remuneration Committee, Member of the Board of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), and Vice-Chairman of the IOSCO Emerging Markets Committee. Mr. Al-Hamoud also chairs the Supervisory Committee on the Application of Risk Methodology and serves as Vice-Chairman of the Human Resources Development Committee at the Authority.
Mr. Al-Hamoud holds a Master of Business Administration from Kent State University in Ohio, United States, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from King Saud University.
